Practice

Iconoclast Audio is an audio engineering practice focused on heavy and extreme music: production through mastering, with Extreme Metal Mastering as the main workload.

Work is iterative—multiple passes, level-matched checks, and masters that are meant to hold up on more than one playback path. The job is to finish the record, not to run it through a fixed template.

Scope

  • production
  • session bass
  • session guitar
  • mixing
  • mastering

Stereo mastering and stem-based work when the mix needs targeted fixes. Mix and session roles are available when the project calls for them; rates and turnaround live on the Rates page.

Signal chains and processing choices are chosen per project. Expect direct notes when something in the source is limiting the master.

Stance

No borrowed “analog warmth” marketing, no pretend mystique about gear. Preference is for clear intent, honest limits, and sound that still reads after limiting—not a polished generic sheen.
